Cedarwood

Mantra/Affirmation From the Oracle of the Essences guide book - "I am willing to give and receive love into my life, everyday and in every way"

From EO Chakra Products - "I stand here with my roots reaching deep and my branches spreading wide.  I offer safety and security to those that need"

Divinatory properties This oil and scent is working with your base or root chakra.  It can help in regaining stability when working with relationships.  If you find that you are needing to work with cedarwood it may be because you are needing emotional strength while working through some conflicts in your close relationships.  Or you could be acting over possessive, protective and obsessive in your relationships.

About the plantEdited from the Canadian Encyclopedia https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/cedar Cedar, in Canada, refers to evergreen conifers (genus Thuja) of the cypress family (Cupressaceae). They are also called arbor vitae [Latin, "tree of life"]. The true cedars belong to the coniferous genus Cedrus (pine family) and are found from the Mediterranean to the Himalayas.  Western red cedar (T. plicata), found along the BC coast and western slopes of the Rocky Mountains, may attain 60 m in height, and 3 m in diameter.  The wood is soft, light, aromatic and decay-resistant. Aboriginal people of the West Coast used cedar for totem poles, canoes and lodges. It is thought that the tea made from the leaves and bark of the Eastern white cedar was the cure for scurvy that ravaged Jacques Cartier's crew in the winter of 1535-36, (see alsoAboriginal Uses of Plants). It is for this reason Thuja species received the nickname arbor vitae.

How to use it It will help you ground and can be used as an aphrodisiac.  So add it to your diffuser when you feel like you need some grounding or are going to meditate.  Add some to a nasal inhaler to take a little grounding with you whenever you may need it.  Mix a couple of drops into some unscented or lavender cream or lotion just before you apply it to the bottoms of your feet at night to help ground you.  I love the smell of cedar and for me it is an aphrodisiac so if my husband had a beard, I would buy beard oil with cedarwood oil in it.  Add it to a carrier oil and use it as a massage oil.  Rule of thumb is 12 - 15 drops to one fluid ounce of oil. Always test it on a small patch of skin before using it.  Do not ingest.

Products EOChakra uses it in Currently I use it in the Stomp Your Feet and Focus Pocus blends.  Currently they are in spray form but you can request a quote for a small bottle of straight essential blend for your diffuser.
