Neroli

(From the guide book of the Oracle of the Essences)

Wise Words: "Some things happen for a reason, others just come with the season"

~ Ana Claudia Antunes

Affirmation:  "I am in control of my reactions, I write my own destiny and create a stress-free world for myself"

About the plant: It is distilled from the blossoms of the Bitter Orange Tree.  Petitgrain is distilled from the leaves and twigs and Wild Orange is cold pressed from the rind of the fruit.   Divinatory properties: When getting this card in a reading it is a signal to pay attention to your thoughts and energy that you are putting out into the universe.  Energy cannot be destroyed just transmutted and therefore we need to be aware tothe cause and effect of both of these.  This card is also signalling going with the flow of life, dance with the wind.    (From my life and practice)

How to use it:

Physical - You can create an inhaler to use to help improve your mood, sleep or stress.  You can put it in a diffuser for the same effects, I don't know about you but I always smile when I smell citrus.  It can be added to creams or carrier oils and used on stretch marks and scars.  Unlike most citrus oil Neroli is not phototoxic. Metaphysical - I have found that it really uplifts you spirit before any ritual or reading.  It makes me take a deep breath, stop and relax and let the universe in. How EO Chakra uses it: Passion Through Freedom is the spray that I make that has Neroli in it.  It is the spray for the second chakra, the Sacral chakra.  It is the chakra of creative expression, letting loose your inhabitions, being passionate about your path.  It is my Full Moon Spray.  With Passion Through Freedom I use it to prepare myself to gain freedom through releasing the things that no longer serve me or the original purpose anymore.  I have used to let go of thoughts or ideas that are doing me harm whether mentally, physically or spiritually.  To release past hurts or something that is blocking a passion that I want to tap into.

  How You can use it:

Skin Toner: Combine 12 drops of Neroli with 60 mls of aloe vera juice in a mister bottle.  Store in the fridge to extend shelf life. Refresh Your Air: Add a couple drops of Neroli to your room diffuser or boil a pot on the stove.  Mix it with other oils like petitgrain and sweet orange and use the products of the tree in unison. Let me know how you use it? Do you like Neroli?
